Chris Brown Broke Down.

I know you all know what happened but as an artist myself I have to say this was a powerful thing to watch. I can only imagine the swell of emotions running through Brown as he performed a tribute to his idol and had to try to sing a song to the world that fit his situation well. I don't know if he broke down because he knew what was running through the entire worlds mind as the lyrics to "Man In The Mirror" began or if is was that light bulb that actually went off at that time, but the performance was good either way. Here is what US Weekly said about it:

In his first live televised performance since assaulting Rihanna, Chris Brown broke down as he performed a tribute to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Donning a fedora and sparkled glove, he mimicked Jackson's signature " Moonwalk" across the stage to "Billie Jean" at the BET Awards Sunday in Los Angeles.

But when he grabbed the mic to belt out "Man in the Mirror," Brown -- who has been outspoken about how Jackson influenced his career -- lost it.

His voice cracked and he could not sing.

Later in the night, the singer, 21, returned to the stage to accept the AOL Fandemonium Award. See more pics from the BET Awards.

He apologized to his fans.

"I let you all down before," he said, "but I won't do it again. I promise you."
